Review. “We chose Wild Zucchinis for our Wedding following a recommendation from the staff at Wordsworth House. We wanted a fairly intimate wedding with family and close friends and had chosen the Cockermouth area as we both had fond memories of the area from our childhoods.
From the first time I spoke with Manon and several telephone conversations and email exchanges, I knew we had chosen the perfect team to cater for our wedding. Our wedding was at 5pm so we wanted to have the traditional ‘wedding breakfast’ afterwards but also needed to keep our guests fed during the rest of the day. Manon was perfect, she offered us a few choices for both the lunchtime and evening meals. We chose to have a buffet style lunch with soup, breads and selection of pate’s and cheeses. For the evening meal we chose the Crab Cake Bites followed by Duck Parmentier.
Manon was there from early morning right through the day and late into the evening with her team. It was perfect and nothing was too much. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed all the food and the service was second to none. All the little extra touches that Manon did throughout the day made our special day extra special. We couldn’t have asked for anymore. What we got was much, much more than we had expected.
We had the the best day ever and hope that Manon and her superb team enjoyed it as much as we did.”

Wild Zucchinis triumphed again – a Wedding Anniversary meal for 14 on a Summer Theme (while it poured down outside) Interesting Canapes to whet the appetite then Duck Parmentiers served with vibrant salads, followed by a wonderfully indulgent chocolate and strawberry cake and an eastern flavoured infused ginger and fruit salad. As hosts we didn’t quite put our feet up but it was all made so much easier by Manon’s magic touch!!! Thank you so much from the Wilcocks.”

Such a welcoming, homely atmosphere. There’s something quite compelling about the place.
Only had a simple snack of hummus, pitta breads & salads, but it really was deliciously moreish ~ just a bit beyond the usual.
Back again on Thursday and Friday, looking forward to it.
Coffee, Carrot cake and good company, Lovely, delightful space, thanks WZ Bistro we will be back…… and next time with the scones i promised you !!!

First visit on Saturday. Chocolate raspberry cake – thought I’d died and gone to heaven. Hoping to come back soon to sample savouries. All the very best to Manon and her staff in the weeks aheadx
First week I was in three times! What a lovely place to relax, the design is fantastic. the table at the back is great for a crowd with children. Great food, all those lovely salad’s and healthy food yum. My son said the falafels etc was the best meal ever! no bad going for a 6year old.

What a joy to stumble upon your bistro while in Cockermouth today.
The food was gorgeous the service and atmosphere excellent. On looking at the menu we were spoilt for choice. However the falafels were truly mouthwatering.
We only wished we lived near, so we could visit you daily.
We wish your bistro every success, you truly deserve it.
